Back in the mid-1970's, when I was interested in this, the record was 100,000 decimal places. I would expect the record to be over 1,000,000 by now. I just calculated pi to 50,000 on my VAX with a <100 line C program. The program is only limited by the amount of system RAM available. -- Kenton Lee, Bell Labs wb3g!kfl or 5941ux!kfl
