Being a relative novice in the telecommunications area, this may be a stupid question, but is 'anonymous FTP' something that we, in the CP/M world can participate in directly. Most of the modem telecommunications software that I know of supports XMODEM protocol, and of course, there is KERMIT, which has its own protocol. I thought FTP was a separate and distinct protocol. Do we need to have the FTPing done thru a *nix system, or can we FTP with a CP/M system? If someone knows the answer to this, I would appreciate hearing what it is.
