TECHNICAL WRITER
The Architecture Department of Exxon Office Systems, Princeton, New
Jersey, has a position open for a Technical Writer. The qualified
candidate should have good writing ability, and some of these desired
qualities:
- College Degree
- Experience as a Unix user
- Knowledge of word processing and office automation
- Experience with computer systems
East Coast or Midwest candidates preferred.
The Architecture department of Exxon Office Systems Company is located
in Princeton, New Jersey in the Forrestal Center. Current activities
include the design of several office automation systems. The writer
who is hired will participate in the design and documentation of
systems that EOSC develops and manufactures. Our routine procedure is
to prepare detailed Product Functional Specifications from which eng-
ineers design and code our systems. (Are you tired of doing all the
documentation after the programmers think they are all finished? Per-
haps this job is for you.)
The job includes many opportunities to work with teams of people to
plan system features that will be attractive to users. There are
opportunities for advancement within the company from this position,
both for people who wish to remain writers, and for those who wish to
enter other fields.
