Following from a trade rag that appears in my in-basket every so often in the 'products to watch' section. Zilog has announced Z80 higher-integration follow-ons and family of data controllers. higher integration: Z84013/84C13 -- serial i/o, counter/timer. Z84015/84C15 -- add parallel i/o, power-on reset, 2 chip-select pins, error-detection circuitry. data comms: Z16C35 -- programmable bus arch, 4 DMA controllers, 3Mbit/s data transfer rate. Z16C33 -- monochannel universal serial controller, SDLC support. Don't know anything more about these chips than you see paraphrased above, but it looks as if the 64180 on-chip integration cues have been taken... Rex Buddenberg
