[net.wanted] experience with the intel 82586 ??

Is there anyone outthere who has any experience in using the

			INTEL 82586

		ethernet controller chip.

	We have experienced trouble with this chip due to temperature.
Apart from that problem the execution of command blocks does not seem
to work. Command blocks are accepted by the controller and the busy
bit is set, after that nothing happens. The only command from which
it returns is the NOP.

	Is there anyone experiencing the same problems, or knows if
there are errors in the documentation of this chip. (Our Reference
Manual is dated january 1983)
