I reciently got pcfile from Simtel. I entered about 260 records into it. I decided it was about time to backup my data. But, I would sort the data first. You guessed it. I hung during the sort. I had sorted the file at about 150 records and it worked. I cold booted and re-entered pcfile. It hangs just before giving me the menu. I have tried copying all three files; still hangs on the copy. I have tried creating a new data base which I can access. I have replaced the .inx and .hdr files with the one that works; it still hangs. I have tried reading the .dta and .hdr files with type & dump; they look fine. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? The data appears ok.
