[comp.os.cpm] Qterm scripts at even parity

m1tca00@macs2.FRB.GOV (Thomas C. Allard) (09/13/90)

I'm running Qterm to access a network that will only accept even parity.
I use a Kaypro 10 and an Incomm 2400 Baud Modem. Qterm is the only
program that I've found that can communicate at even parity (I guess
it's the only one that messes around with the SIO). It works fine in
terminal mode, but when I run a chat script it doesn't seem to be able
to handle characters from the modem. It can send fine, but characters
that come in as graphic characters which seems like a high bit needs to
be stripped off. I *do* use the 7 bit masking (!m 1) which is in fact
needed even in terminal mode. But this doesn't seem to do the trick in
chat mode. Any ideas???
