[comp.os.cpm] Televideo TPC portable

cwr@pnet01.cts.com (03/31/91)

I recently resuscitated a CP/M luggable called a "Companion", and
someone on the net said (when I asked about the machine) that it
was the same as the Televideo TPC. At the moment I'm porting MEX114
to it (it has a rudimentary terminal program built in, but I want
full comms).

The machine I've got has a single floppy in a box 18" x 6" x 3",
which contains a motherboard with 256K of RAM (mostly Ramdisk) and
two serial ports and a parallel port. If you attach a terminal and
switch it on, you come up into a ROM monitor which looks like a file
on drive B. Drive A is the Ramdisk, and drive C the floppy. My FD
is single sided, but there is provision in the monitor for a double
sided drive.

I'm posting this partly to offer help, if its any use, and partly to
see if anyone else out there has one of these things. Anyone ?????

Good luck - Will
