Extract the two lines at the end of this message with your favorite text editor, write them to disk as EXLPAT.HEX and overlay EXL.COM with EXLPAT.HEX via DDT, DDTZ, MLOAD or whatever to produce a patched EXL.COM. This should fix the problem wherein EXL-written disk files whose filetype nominally have less than 3 characters have their last character set to <null> rather than <space>, thus making them inaccessible to other programs.
