It's been a lllloooonnnggg winter. First I lunched an 80 track floppy. Now it looks like I've got a dead floppy controller. Anyway, I wanted to buy another one. Apparently the J&M controller works with the CoCo3 except for the parallel port (this is on their top of the line controller). Have they fixed this yet? The Feb. Rainbow still says you can't use the parallel port on a CoCo3, but that ad is probably 3 months old. While on the topic of CoCo3 compatibility, I bought 'rogue' and it's very interesting. The only SCF device included is 'term' so it's not very useful as an OS-9 Level II sample in that sense. Has DP Johnson said they'll have a Level II upgrade for their SDisk driver? Oh, heck, seeing that I'm posting this much let's go for broke. Has Dale Lear said anything about a Level II compatible D.L. Logo? I bought the first version and would like to see it ported. On the good news side, I was talking to Stylo Software recently and they are interested in making what corrections are necessary to run Stylo under Level II. I've tried Stylo under the 'rogue' subset of Level II and it's usable. It gets stuck in reverse video mode, but the cursor is still visible, so you can use it. Cheers! -- Jim O.
