We have a number of addresses (used for mailing). We would like to store the addresses in some sort of database and to be able to print out a selected set of the addresses. It should be possible to add new addresses and to change addresses already in the database. The problem: editing the database and printing out parts of it should be done by our secretary. The secretary has little contact with computers except for this job. This means that the program must be dead easy to use and that online help must be available. What we seem to need is a relational database with a screen-oriented interface. Has anyone written such a thing? I know of one commercially available (informix from Logica) but we would prefer to get the source-code, not just the binaries.
