A while back someone asked about the Sculptor Applications Generator. I've just received a version for OS-9 68K systems. The current version is 1.14:8. So far, it pretty much what I expected it to be. I whipped up a quicky file set similar to the 'prices' file set I posted earlier based on the SDB system. The default screen handler was really impressive. The default printer handler wasn't so great, but I think that it'll be easy to modify the generated sourcecode to produce a clearer output. A cursory look at it shows that the TERM variable is supported, but PATH isn't yet. Neither is the standard 'termcap' file. It's based on an Indexed Sequential file system with a B Tree index. Longest ASCII field is 255 bytes. I haven't found a limit to the number of fields or records yet. 4 and 8 byte reals and money formats. Dates are in 4 bytes, but time isn't supported. Signed INTs are supported. No advanced math functions are supported, but all the arithmetics are there as well as logical AND and OR. I'll try to post some applications later.
