Before people start screaming at me, one of the computers I own is a coco 1. (Although the computer I use most often is an Amiga) I think a new newsgroup should be created instead of renaming this one. I imagine that the original purpose of this newsgroup was for comments about the 6809, not just about computers using the 6809 (especially not just one computer, ie. the coco). If you use other newsgroups as an example, there is a newsgroup named comp.sys.m68k which is for technical comments about the 68000, 68020, 68030. There is also a newsgroup named comp.sys.m68k.PC for comments about 68k based computers. Coco owners started using this newsgroup since they didn't have their own. Since there are so many coco messages, non-coco owners were probably scared off. I read this newsgroup for both info about cocos and info about the 6809 (Although there's little of the latter). The coco is not the only computer using the 6809, renaming this newsgroup to comp.sys.coco would alienate everyone else. From what I've read, creating a new newsgroup is not that difficult.
