I believe he's gotten most of the bugs shaken out, and is getting ready to release an initial version. Questions still exist on whether or not this will be a dual mode driver (mode a: stupid byte reading; mode b: read & timestamp incoming data [i.e. sequencer support, etc.]). James Jones should be able to keep you apprised of when it becomes available (as he's usually in the wings there on the forum). Right now there is a public domain support package for the Casio keyboards from Richard Johnson. He went the route of the Atari ST when the coco3 took so long to materialize, but this tool runs under LI o9r LII and uses the same Coco Midi II hardware. It's a suite of three tools - Czpatch, Czbank, and Czprint. These are part of a patch librarian/editor group that allow creation and upload/download of patch data to/from a CZ class synth. Pretty useful (for me anyway). I have a little LI system (coco) in the living room dedicated to the task. I had hear earlier that Mware had a bunch of closet MIDI enthusiasts.. I think that was when Dave Kaleita was developing the SS-50 interface for the Roland MPU-401. In any case, keep in touch. OS9 & MIDI looks like it's going to be a fun combination! -- Pete Lyall (OS9 Users Group VP)| DELPHI: OS9UGVP | Eaton Corp.(818)-706-5693 Compuserve: 76703,4230 (OS9 Sysop) OS9 (home): (805)-985-0632 (24hr./1200 baud) Internet: pete@wlbr.eaton.com UUCP: {ihnp4,scgvax,jplgodo,voder}!wlbr!pete
