In the Rainbow Guide to Level II, p 145 (If you have it), there is a patch which 1) lengthens time before repeat, and 2) slows repeat rate: L cc3io C 7e 1e 3e C 86 03 06 V Run this through ModPatch. If you like the change, put in your system disk, and type Cobbler /d0 (or whatever drive). Also in the same section is a disk drive step rate patch: L d0 <-- or whatever floppy you want. C 14 00 03 V I believe the 03 can be subsituted for other rates. 00 (built in) is 30ms. 01 is 20ms, 02 is 12ms. (I am not sure about 01 and 02.) 03 is 6ms. Most newer drives can handle this. Unfortunately, 3 of my drives are old Model III type drives which poke around at 30ms min. Sigh. Enjoy these patches!
