Does anyone out there have either: 1) An "expire" program for 2.10.1 news that doesn't need the "history" of "log" files to execute properly? or 2) A program to rebuild the "log" and "history" files for "expire" to use? I just inadvertently destroyed my log/history files which I had been saving just so I could begin to use "expire" instead of the manual "find" commands I had been using up to now. I used to throw logs and historys away until I discovered that "expire" needs them! And now I lost them again! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Thanks in advance (as it is said) -- From the terminal of Morris Kahn (...!ihnp4!afinitc!msk)

When we discovered that "expire -eN" (B news 2.11) doesn't work, and that only the DFLTEXP in defs.h of B news 2.11 is EVER USED, our confidence in the whole expire/history/log/mumble scheme dropped to zero and we replaced it with a nice friendly "find" command that always does what we want it to. In point of fact, expire -eN doesn't work. However, expire -e N does work. The space makes all the difference. At least it does with our version B 2.10.1+some Erik E.
