I'm starting a project that will use a 6809 (actually 6309E) as a control processor and I need a cross-assembler. It has to run on Ultrix (= BSD VAX Unix) or on a Macintosh and to generate something easy to feed to an EPROM programmer. The whole project is low-profile, low-budget. Does anyone have a favorite to recommend? Thanks in advance. Ed Satterthwaite DEC Systems Research Center, Palo Alto, CA ehs@src.dec.COM {...}!decwrl!ehs

I have been using the cross-assembler package from Computer Systems Consulants
in Conyers GA. Bud Pass has complete packages for all the 8 bit processors and
the 68000. They are written in C and the sources are available. I believe that
he sells them for about $50 for a single processor binary, $100 for the single
processor with source and $500 for the complete package of sources for all the
processors. Supported processors are 680x family, 6502, 1805, z8, z80, 8080,
8085, 8048, 8051, 68000, 68010, and 32000 processors (whew!).
