I seem to have run into a problem the other day...
I was Running Multi-View and My CoCo III, and I loaded up the SAVE command
(from somewhere... Dont remember where I got it...)
Anyway, I was planning to patch multiview's GShell with The Modpatch Coomand
and when I went to load it, the Drives went blitzy... Not like they went
crazy or anything... just didnt work right... So I couldnt load it.. So I
pulled out an old 35 trk Single sided disk (ie.. The ORIGANAL SYS DISK) and
Did a directory... No problem at all.. But not On my 40Trk DD/DS disks!!
So I thought Something happend to the drivers... So I powered down, and
tried to reboot... (at this time still thinking it was a Software problem..)
well, next thing I know It wont boot... Cant boot... And I was about to
give it a BOOT... So I did a normal RSDOS DIR (Which SHOULD give a bunch
of Garbly Gook on the screen...) but all I Got was I/O error... I/O error...
I/O error... EVERY time I did A dir of the 40 trk Disks... ON BOTH DRIVES!
If It was one drive, I'd say that the Head was off, but since Its both, I
think that something went in my Disk Controller! No problem Reading the
35 trk Drives... just the 40 trk DD/DS...
All This comes down to is:
Can I fix This Simply (Ie... Under 15$, and with parts easily avalible..)
And if not, UGH!!!
Its a CRC Disto Supper Controller II... With the No Hault Stuff (really neat
... But sounds like it could be the problem!)
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Heres My SYSTEM:
CoCo III -512K
Multi-PAck -Pal Fixed and updated
CRC Super Contr. II -No expansions hooked into it..
