[comp.sys.m6809] S-record info?

      I'm sure that this has been asked several times before but
   I need information on S-records. I looked at the list
   of files on the Motorola BBS but could not find anything
   that looked like a description. Could someone please inform
   me where I can find out about S-records, and help a poor
   UNIX programmer who is desperately trying to relive the past
   on his TRS-80?
