True, it has minor little drawbacks left over from the CoCo 2, but that stuff (such as the interface, Disk I/O, etc.) was left for compatability, and isn't really bad at all. Consider that the CoCo's disk I/O is 8 times faster than the Commodore's. * The CoCo 3 can run faster than an IBM. It's processor is easier to work with than an IBM's... It's graphics are better than an IBM's... So why is Tandy not pushing the CoCo 3? Because there's no software out yet. Even the damn operating system isn't out. But the machine is now in the hands of those who will get it out, and come Christmas next year, you can expect the CoCo 3 to sell just as well, if not better than Tandy's PC clones. Prices (on the monitor, etc.) will be down a tad, and the 3 will move. * Meanwhile, if you want to get an edge, get the 3 now... * Also, see the comp.sys.m6809 for the latest Color Computer 1, 2, and especially 3 discussion. - ERIC - ---------- EMAIL: ewtileni@pucc.bitnet -- or -- ewtileni@pucc.princeton.edu MCI Mail AND Delphi: TILENIUS CompuServe: 70346,16 Phone: 609-734-0048 ---------- "Violence is the last resort of the incompetent."
