I have been using the Ultrascreen for the Model 100/102 laptop. The software product is produced by a couple of fellow Canadians from an organization called Ultrasoft Innovations Inc. in Ste Anne de Bellevue, Quebec, CANADA. This company has also produced other software items such as "DISK POWER and TEXT POWER". The UTRASCREEN is a small and fast machine language program which switches the Model 100/102's screen to a truly functional 10X60 character LCD vs. the original 8X40 character LCD. The KEY WORD here is functional!!! ie my screen and built in programs such as BASIC,TEXT,SCHEDULE,TELECOM and other basic programs all operate on this increased screen size. The cursor is smaller but has all its functioning characteristics ie. cut,copy,paste,delete,insert,movement,etc. as seen in all prgrams ie. TEXT,BASIC,SCHEDULE The LABEL row is smaller but legible and operational. TELECOM is a joy to watch as you can now see about twice the previous text content on your original LCD screen versus the old 8X40 display. The only drawback is that you cannot select "PREVIOUS" screen so in actual fact ULTRASCREEN in TELECOM does not allow you to scan more text than before since the "PREVIOUS" function is lost but it will allow you to see the content of both PREVIOUS and present screens all on one screen All in all I found this to be an EXCELLENT product which must be ranked up with the "essential products" considered standard but required with your Model 100/102 ie. Modem cable, NiCad batteries,RAM chips, etc. Really an EXCELLENT piece of software, well worth the price!!!
