[comp.sys.tandy] Model 100 Info Sources?

jans@tekchips.TEK.COM (Jan Steinman) (07/20/87)

Where are the good places to get Model 100 information? (Besides the RS
software catalog :-) Is there a magazine? (Not apparent around local book
stores.) Is there an active third-party support community? Are there clubs?
I've heard Compuserve mentioned, but I let my account expire long ago when the
signal-to-noise ration got too high.

Please email replies. If I get more than one or two, I'll summarize to this
newsgroup.

I will gladdly accept specific questions. I don't claim to be an expert
on the M100 but I have got my feet wet. I not only have some technical
literature (schematics, supported subroutine addresses) but I have also
dissasembled the ROM and DOS. We are currently using about 50 of these
guys, and have just ordered some Model 102's for evaluation.
For those (like myself) who normally shy away from the Radio Shack name,
the Model 100 is really made by Kyocera Corporation (Japan) for Radio Shack.
The Model 100 has Microsoft Basic (but I believe the DOS was written by
Radio Shack or some inexperianced third party).
