You might want to try replacing the '[' character with an up arrow (can't show that on notes!). I seem to remember that as the replacement character. Rod Plant

The "open bracket" [ is the way that most printers print the standard "up arrow" of the TRS-80. (I'm surprised you haven't read about it, it is very well documented; practically every issue of 80 Microcomputing mentioned it.) The up-arrow is an exponentiation function -- not EXP(x), which is e^x -- and should be replaced with whatever your computer uses for "x to the yth power". (The reason for the open bracket is that the TRS-80 used ASCII codes 91- 94 for the four arrows. On most printers, these are used for brackets, backslash and other bizarre symbols.)
