[comp.sys.tandy] uupc on tandy 1000 sx

When I run the mail.exe and uu.exe uupc programs, my tandy1000sx
freezes and I have to reset the machine.  Has anyone gotten uupc
to run?  I would appreciate if someone would mail me these uuencoded
executables if you made changes to get them to run.  Thanks a bunch.
