Hello. I have a pending project I would like to complete this summer. It involves a data-base for all of my magazines where if I want to look up a specific subject, the data-base would refer me to specific pages in a specific issue. I am looking for a GOOD data-base program that will run under LS-DOS 6.3 or LDOS 5.3, although I prefer LS-DOS over LDOS. It must be able to handle infinite amount of records(disk space permitting) and able to print it out on a printer. I guess when it comes to quality of a software, it is related to the price. so I think under $100 will be my upper limit, although anything else above that price will be carefully considered also. I have PROFILE III+(anyone remember that?) and the unfortunate part is I can't get it to run under LDOS on a hard-drive, I understand the III+HD version will. So this tells you that I HATE TRSDOS 1.3. My system consists of a Model IV with the XLR8er board, RS 15-Meg hard drive using PowerSoft driver, and an Epson FX-100 printer. I really would appreciate any suggestions you may have on what to get and what to avoid, so please let me hear from you. William Chao wchao@topaz.rutgers.edu P.S. How good is Profile IV/IV+(if still exists)?
