[comp.sys.tandy] Terminal Emulator wanted.

dave@uwmcsd1.UUCP (03/05/87)

Someone posted a vt52 or vt100 or vt132 or something emulator for a Tandy4
a couple months ago. I saved it until last week, deleted it, and yesterday
someone asked for one (GRRRR!)

Could someone either mail it to me or tell me where to ftp it from?

Thanks alot..

Also, does the kermit for this machine (from cu20b which I can't seem to
connect to at present) emulate anything?

I have a Tandy Model 4p that i would like to put to use as a terminal
into my unix machine. The criteria that i am looking for are:

    * has to have the functionality of at least a VT-100, tho
it does not have to be a vt100 emulator. Another terminal
      type will do.

    * It would be good if it could handle logging to an attached
(local) line printer, for catching those pesky error msgs.
      that i always get.

    * it would be nice if i could get the 3 function keys to do what
      i want.

    * it should ba able to run at full speed (9600 baud, no?).

    * it must run with TRSDOS 6.2 or Montezuma CP/M 2.2 v.1.42.

    * obviously, it must have all the characters that unix needs.

As I am sure this has been hashed out several thousand times before, please
e-mail me. I will post if there is a lot of interest. Otherwise, i won't
waste the bandwidth.
