My friend just bought a TRS something or other, and was wondering if there are any terminal emulators that emulate a VT100? Would kermit have this terminal covered? Thanks, John Mullen mullen@b.gp.cs.cmu.edu

Kermit usually supports VT-52 terminal emulation only. There are quite a few good public-domain VT-100 terminal emulators around most universities. I usually use PC-VT for such work. James T. Wyatt (UUCP:decvax!microsoft!trsvax!jim) Radio: KA5VJL

There are quite a MS-Kermit v 2.30 and 2.31 both support VT102 and Tek 4010 terminals in addition to VT52. I find MS-Kermit to have about the best available VT100 emulation in free software. PC-VT is now in v 9.0, and also works very well; it runs in less than 128K of memory which allows it to be loaded with DOSAMATIC 2.06 along with a word processor and a spreadsheet.
