I want to upgrade the memory in a Tandy 1000 that has the memory expansion
plus card. What off-the-shelf chips can be used to do this? I <think> that
I need 64K x 4 dynamic RAM chips, 41464, 4464, 50464, or 81464's: am I right?
What speed should the chips be rated at? 100ns, 120ns, 150ns?

I seem to recall hearing that yes, you need 4x64K RAM chips, which just happen to be what come in a stock Color Computer 3. These are removed and replaced by 1x256K chips when upgrading to 512K. To start with, the IC sockets on the Memory Plus board (25-1011) are 16 pin,
while the 50464 is an 18 pin device. The board will handle 64Kx1 or 256Kx1
rams like the 4164, 6665, or the 50256, depending on how the jumper is set.
The older boards took 64Kx1 RAMs only. No memory upgrade board made by
Tandy took 64Kx4s, however some computers did (TX, SL, TL).
