[comp.sys.tandy] Kermit TRS-80

laverman@prismab.prl.philips.nl (Bert Laverman) (01/09/89)

Some time ago there was talk about a Kermit for the TRS-80
and problems in reaching the kermit group. I managed to get
through. They - respectfully - told me to look for a local
tape collector, as a Model 4 version should be available.
And so it was! I now have the complete sources and
executables.

Kermit TRS-80 for the M4 is totally written in assembly (Macro-80)
and includes a Heath-19 emulator as a FILTER. (You get a
device called '*H19') included also is a program to
install this driver in high-memory. You add the standard
'SET *CL COM' and 'SETCOM (options)' and voila!

This beaty knows about TAKE files and time-outs! What
I haven't found yet is a full-screen display, and
correct handling of disk-errors. (It doesn't seem to
send an 'E'rror package) But certainly nice is the
SET DEFAULT-DISK, so you don't need to worry about on
which drive the files will show up. Anyone interested in a
copy can mail me. I will send only by Snail-mail, as
my employer won't like haevy network traffic.
The executables fit one 1 disk, the sources need an
extra 2! if you can read Double-sided and/or 80Tks
I might reduce the number. Please send me your disk(s)
plus an indication of what format you would like
(anything as long as it's TRS-DOS 6.2/LS-DOS 6.3) to:

	Bert Laverman
	P.a. Dilgtweg 14
	9751 NG Haren (Gn)
	The Netherlands

This is my parents' address, so don't expect a reply
to fast. Unless you live in the Netherlands and can
include the return stamps, please include a reasonable
contribution. (something like US$5 to US$7.50 depending
on the amount of disks and HOW you would like them sent)

If I get bugged enough, I might ARC, uuencode and post.....
but don't count on it. In any case
	-=*>> I WON'T EMAIL THE FILES! <<*=-
