I have been using TRSCROSS by Powersoft, purchased through the
local RS computer center (they had to order it for me) to convert
files from model III discs to my new MS-DOS Zenith portable. It
works quite well and has a lot of good features.

The program can supposedly tell whether the old discs are in
model I/III/4 format and can even deal with other operating
systems created for those machines.

It can convert SuperScripsit files into ASCII files (VERY
useful) during the transfer and also will fix variations in
RS basic to run under GW basic during the conversion.

The program tries to guess what type of file it is dealing
with before attempting to convert it, but lets you confirm
this, in case your basic files don't have ".bas" extensions,
etc.

And, though I probably won't have need for it, it also works
the other way, being able to format a RS disc on a PC and
then copy files to it.
