I'm tempted to buy a used Tandy 2000. It has 256K RAM and the monochrome graphics enhancement, and is apparently being used with a CM-4 monitor (I thought that the T2000 was incompatible with the IBM-PC compatible monitors, and required either the VM-1 or CM-1). What type(s) of monitor are compatible with the T2000 ? I have IBM-PC compatible TTL-monochrome and composite-monochrome monitors, and would rather not get something specific to the Tandy 2000. How "standard" are the BIOS calls ? I don't expect any software which relies on direct hardware manipulation to work, but BIOS-level compatibility would (I hope) allow the use of generic MS-DOS 3.x, as well as many applications programs. Is anyone using Borland products, specifically Turbo C 2.0 or Turbo Pascal 5.0, on the Tandy ??? I realize that the direct video routines won't work, but I want to add memory and use the system for development. Has anybody ported MINIX to the Tandy 2000 ? Are there any other incompatibilities which I need to know about ?
