Regarding transfering information from a 3.5" disk written on a Tandy Laptop (I'm assuming a 1400) that can't be read by a high density 3.5" disk on a genuine IBM machine ... Whenever I have problems getting one machine to read a disk from another I always go through the following sequence: Can disks formatted on machine A be read on machine B, or visa versa? If so, format a transfer disk on the friendly machine, and then write the data on the obstinate machine. In your case, a disk formatted as low density on your IBM ought to be readable on the Tandy (if it's a 1400). One of your machines disk drives is probably to the left of "perfect" and the other to the right, leaving each to feel that the other is wrong. If you've already tried this (and looked for a third machine both like) then it's time to fall back on any one of a number of serial tranfer programs. I've heard that Lap-Link from Traveling Software is vary good. John Reynolds Tandy R&D in beautiful Ft. Wuth Standard disclaimer ...
