[comp.sys.tandy] Tandy 4000, WINDOWS/386 and DMP2100P

lgarcia@pacsbb.UUCP (Barrio) (05/13/89)

I seem to have a serious problem when printing on a DMP2100P using
WINDOWS/386 on a Tandy 4000. The printer is set to IBM emulation and
I selected the IBM Graphics printer driver. The output is just an
endless row of 6s or Qs. Even if I select the Generic/Text only
printer driver, the result is the same.

Needless to say, I have not experienced anything similar with any
other program. The printer worked fine with Windows 1.x using another
computer.

A call to Microsoft produced no results. A call to Tandy produced
a promise to call back with an answer, which did not materialize.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have the EXACT same problem running Windows 2.03 on my Tandy 1000SX and
a Tandy DMP430 printer. Oddly, it works fine on a Tandy 3000NL w/ DMP440. I
have to experiment switching printers around to see if the problem is in
the printer or the computer.
