[net.wanted] copy protection needed

My employer has decided to release a software package which management
has decided must be copy protected. I have been asked to find a good
copy protection method.

An ideal method would:
	1) Allow the user to make backup copies
	2) Prevent the user from using more than one of the copies (or
	the original) at a time
	3) Be suitable for mass production
	4) Work on several MS-DOS machines with any format
	Specifically, it must work with:
		IBM PC PC-DOS 1.1, 2.0, and 2.1
		Zenith Z100	Z-DOS 1.25 and 2.0
		NEC APC MS-DOS 2.0 and 2.11
		DEC Rainbow	MS-DOS 2.0
	5) Allow the user to place his operating system on the
protected disk and make it bootable (must work with all flavors
	of MS-DOS)
	6) Allow the user to run the programs from his hard disk

There are several companies out there which sell copy protection
schemes to software manufacturers. If anyone on the net could point me
to one (or more) that they have heard good things about, I would
greatly appreciate it. If there is sufficient interest in this
subject, I will compile any suggestions I get and post them to
net.micro.

One final question before I go. One method I am currently looking at
is called Prolok. It is sold by Vault Corp. in Westlake Village, CA.
If anyone knows anything about this company, I would be especially
interested in hearing from you.

Thanks for your time.
