/* ---------- "Tandy 1000EX upgrades" ---------- */
I posing this question for my cousin who is trying to do what he suspects
might be impossible. The school he works for has 4 Tandy 1000EX's. He
is trying to install a hard drive in each. So far no luck. Is this not
possible or is it a Tandy service only upgrade or what? I would greatly
appreciate any help available.
Thanks in advance.

    Tandy used to sell, via Express Order, a Cat.# 90-2140, Plus Hard Disk
    Adaptor (made by Western Digital). In the 1988 catalogue it sold for
    $229.00 each and supported the 10, 20, and 35 megabyte secondary hard
    drive units.

    Unfortunately, there was an almost complete lack of interest in the item,
    and it was discontinued at the end of 1988.

    You might try every Radio Shack Store and Computer Center you can find,
    someone might still have some around. Since Western Digital made the
    boards, someone outside of Tandy might still be selling them, you might
    check those magazines, and companies that sell products for Tandy machines
    outside of Tandy/Radio Shack.
