Help! Does anyone happen to know the pinouts of the Tandy 1000 parallel printer port? You know, the 34 pin card edge connector on the back of the machine. A friend asked me to make an extra long cable, but the only "technical" information in the owner's manual is a picture (artist's conception) of the computer, a printer, and a ribbon cable joining them, with a caption that reads "connect as pictured", or something like that. Since a ribbon cable is pictured, the pin assignments at the computer must be similar, but not identical (34 < 36) to those at the other (cen- tronics) end. Thanks in advance for any help.... Bill, My handy-dandy x-reference guide tells me to match these pins together. TANDY CENTRONICS (PARALLEL) 1 1 3 2 5 3 7 4 9 5 11 6 13 7 15 8 17 9 21 11 23 12 2 20 4 21 6 22 8 23 10 24 12 25 14 26 16 27 28 32 Hope that is what you were looking for! Ignoring 35 & 36 on the centronix cable. Hope it helps. -- Jim Carter (Sequoia Contact Lens,1355 11th Street,Reedley,CA,93654) {...!csufres!csuf3b!ic2020!jim} 209/638-3939, Fax 209/638-5433
