Hullo,
Here at Miami University, we are evaluating a Tandy 4025 LX
as a possibility for upgrading our CAD lab. This would
involve purchasing about 20 machines. Tandy has been good
enough to loan us a machine for our testing purposes. Now
the bad part...
It doesn't seem to be doing very well. First off, this baby
comes with 1Mb of extended memory. The driver that comes
with the machine TEMMLX.SYS is supposed to be the one to use,
but when we load it in the config.sys file we get the
following error:
new other board added
Installation Failed
What does this mean?? Why does the driver not work??
In addition, we have tried 3 different 80386 specific
packages on this machine, and ALL have FAILED to work. Huh??
We are confused. We even took it apart to make sure that it
really had an Intel 80386. (It does, or at least that's what
the chip says) Why does this beast not seem to work so
well???
Has anyone else out there used one of these, or heard about
them. All information is welcome, as this is a rather large
purchase order. As it stands now, Tandy won't make the sale.
Thanks in advance...

Sir, I have sent you several emails on this subject, but since you failed to provide a mail path that started at a machine that is registered, they apparently have gotten lost. Please email me directly and I will convey the information I have. Thank you. Frank Durda IV @ <trsvax!uhclem> ...decvax!microsoft!trsvax!uhclem ...hal6000!trsvax!uhclem
