I am working heavily with the Tandy 1000TL sound digitizing routines. I have the following programs available for shareware trading: Sampler : Samples sounds of any length in multiple sampling rates. The sounds can be replayed in batch files or from the dos command line. Drum machine: A simple drum machine that uses sampled drum sounds. I am trying to work on several other projects, including a tonal recognizer (I'm pretty close on this one) that can figure out the note that you play into the microphone, and a voice recognizer (I am nowhere close on this). If anyone else is working on digitized sound on any of the 1000s that have it, get in touch with me... I'd love to work with you... Radio Shack people can't help me too much. If you program in pascal, I can give you a unit file to control digitized sound extremely easily. Thanks... Dave Stewart (913) 749-5914 1301 W. 24th St. M20 Lawrence, KS 66046

Re the tone recognition routines, are they sensitive to instrument type? Can they distinguish between more that one tone present? Some years ago I looked into these problems (never at the code level) and the problems in instament recognition and tracking in a multi instrument environment were pretty heavy. Have you extended your research into these areas and if so how have you done. For the rest of the news group. Has anyone else done anything in this area or in automated transcription of mutili instrument recorded performance? =================================================================== :Bo Newman newman@inco.uu.net uunet!inco!newman : :McDonnell Douglas Electronics Systems Company (MDESC-WDC) : :McLean Virginia : :Voice (202) 310-2730 : :Fax USA (703) 883-3889 : ------------------------------------------------------------------- : ALL STANDARD DISCLAIMERS APPLY : ===================================================================
