[comp.sys.tandy] Tandy 1000, the OLD one

kmu@cup.portal.com (Kevin D Murie) (03/10/90)

Here's a question for you Tandy types...I have an original Tandy 1000
(I know, I know! :-) and used a Zuckerboard for memory expansion. One
day the memory board decided to quit. I also found out that Zuckerboard
went out of business. My question: How can I get my memory back up to
640K without giving Radio Shack my first born? And please, don't give
me the obvious answer of "Get a new machine." I know I need to, but
funds do not allow that at this time. I am otherwise satisfied with this
machine. it ran a BBS for 3 1/2 years, 24 hours a day, without a
hiccup, cept' for the memory card. That's not the T1K's fault...

I hope someone can help me. Thanks!

Try "Computer Mechanix" (1-800-448-1436). They specialize in Tandy computers.
They sell stuff like high density (1.2/1.44 MB) controllers for Tandy 1000s
along with "standard" memory boards and EXPANDED memory boards for these
machines. I think the price on the memory expansion board is $119.00.

Let us know what happens...
