Help! I am having problems printing with my Tandy 1000. I
just purchased Print Magic (Epyx Software, the IBM PC & compatibles
version), and I keep getting extra blank lines (every other one)
when I print. I have seen this problem before with other programs,
and the solution I finally had to use was to write a TSR program to
strip all LFs before using interrupt 17H, and setting the auto-LF
(CR causes CR+LF) switch on my Panasonic KXP-1091i. This time,
however, not even this trick is helping. Yes, I have tried using
LF.COM plus MODE LFOFF as well. I even turned off the auto-LF
switch on the printer. I suspect that the 1000 is setting the
auto-LF line on the Centronics port, which over-rides the dip
switch on the printer. LF.COM plus MODE LFOFF doesn't seem to
make a difference. Is there a bug in here that I am missing?
Should I write another routine to set the printer port to not send
auto-LF directly? Any suggestions?!?
