I've been called-in as a Model 100 semi-expert to consult on a science application that wants to run a timer based on how long a key is held down. INKEY$ just won't hack it. I need (at least) to call the keyboard scan routines. What I don't understand is how to get back the data that the ROM routine leaves in a register. The call statement neatly sets up the registers with arguments that you pass, but how do you then read the registers when the routine passes control back to you? I feel like I must be missing something. Replies by mail would be most welcome, but I'll come back and take a look here, too.
