My Tandy 6000, which has been merrily chugging along doing mostly troff to an HP laserjet, got a nasty case of amnesia after crashing during a power failure a few weeks ago. After cleaning out about 7 years of dirt and dust, it still couldn't boot xenix, although it ran trsdos fine (the first time I've used that). Pulling my 3-port serial card brought the machine back to good health. There is nothing *OBVIOUS* wrong with the card, but I have no schematics, etc. So, the big question is how do I go about fixing the serial card or getting another? I don't want to invest too much money in the system, but I might be willing to buy another system just to ensure I'll always be able to keep one running... it makes a nice troff server for my other unix box. :-) -hankd@ecn.purdue.edu PS: One of the two built-in serial ports died many years ago... I'd also appreciate any comments on how to fix that.
