[comp.sys.tandy] Still looking to sell 16b/6000 stuff

monty@larry.sal.wisc.edu (Monty Schmidt) (09/04/90)

I still have an extra 6000 system willing to sell in whole or parts..
2 Meg of Ram
7 Meg MMU <converted by me>
If you are interested in upgrading your system above 1 Meg of memory let
me know. I can do it for ya or send you schematics and instructions on
how to do it yourself.
Hires Graphics board for 6000
2 Bernoulli box adaptor cards..
1 2-drive Iomega Bernoulli box.. 10 meg each includes 6 10 meg cartridges
also has an IBMPC adapter card and cable. The second drive is flaky 1st
drive is great.
1 3 port serial card.
40 Meg internal miniscribe drive 1 8" floppy.
Z80 board running at 0 wait state instead of 1 wait state <again something
you can do at home with a screwdriver soldering iron etc...>

If anyone out there is interested in hacking the Z80 source on the system
I have the boot track, rom, and a good percentage of z80ctl disassembled and
commented. Took me quite a bit of time but has been helpful in keeping these
bears running....
I have not included prices as I'm looking for offers... MAKE ME ONE...
we are currently using the extra system for development of a multiuser
game running on my BBS but I could sell it if I got a reasonable offer or two.

Email.. call me at 608 256 1432 or call my multiuser Tandy 6000 BBS at
608 256 3133....
Later... Monty

Yes I am very interested in this info. I'm not sure what a fair price
for your parts, drawings, etc. would be. I just picked up a used (off
from lease, I think) Model 6000 HD (15 meg.) for $150.00 (system in
original box, tested to run, original diskettes, & manuals).

My new system (or toy as my wife refers to it!) has only the run-time
Xenix version 2.0.3 (??) and I am looking to upgrade it, both h/w & s/w.
I want to get lots more memory & disk storage, get Xenix upto
the latest possible release with full-blown development kit etc.

I have two goals for this machine. The first is as personal 2 to 3 user
Xenix development/learning system, and the second is for receiving a
Usenet feed (I get it at work, My wife, who is a consulting programmer,
working at home, does not...).

Let me know what kind of prices, etc. and info you have, want, and can
send me.

			Thanks,	John Farmer
