a quick note for those that have had the same problem: the specific location of the problem is line 22 of the input cable...if you cut the connection on the "Ring Indicator" pin (22) the terminal works perfectly (for an adm3a, that is!) and rings and all! It really works! Thanks to those of you who sent me notes about it! Dave Taylor
