[comp.sys.tandy] Tandy 1400 LT and 8087's

jpq@laue.ms.nwu.edu (John P. Quintana) (03/12/91)

I've just bought a 1400 LT and going through the documentation, I see
that it can take an 8087-2 coprocessor. However, it also says that I
need to take this to Radio Shack to do. Has anyone done this themselves?
Is it just a simple matter of opening the case and putting one in the
socket and changing a dip switch?

Putting an 8087-2 in a 1400 is no big deal; unscrew the case, lift it
off (*very* carefully, so as not to mess up wires); the socket is just ahead
of the keyboard.

If'n you try it, you're on your own. I'm just passing on info.
