[comp.sys.tandy] Help needed with DIR on A: on a TL/2

ajl3578@cs.rit.edu (Anthony J Leccese) (06/23/91)

I have a Tandy 1000TL/2 which has developed a problem with drive A:.
If I do a DIR on the drive, swap disks, and do another DIR, I get the
listing from the previous disk. When I use one of the 'ls' programs to
do this, it works fine. I have pulled out the drive ribbon cable for easier
cleaning and to try to install a 5 1/4" drive (it didn't like the drive)
and my have reinstalled the cable improperly but everything else works fine
except for the above problem. I have also upgraded to 768k if that matters
since thats about the time I noticed the problem. Any suggestions on how to
fix the problem? It's still under warranty, but it would have to be sent away
to get looked at and would take at least two weeks. Thanks.

P.S.
Thanks to all who helped me with my Coco on comp.os.os9.
