Hi. Does anyone have a termcap entry for the HP 35741a terminal I have hooked to my HP 9000. All I have is terminfo. Thanks in advance! Eric Van Tassell Data Language Corp. 617-663-5000 clyde!bonnie!masscomp!dlcdev!eric harvard!mit-eddie!dlcdev!eric dlcdev!eric@eddie.mit.edu

The 35741A is just a color monitor, not a terminal. If it is connected
to a ...
2397A Terminal, then use a terminfo of 2397, 2397a, hp2397, hp2397a,
2627, 2627a, hp2627 or hp2627a
98543A RGB card, then use a terminfo of 300l, hp300l, hp98542 or
hp98542a
HP Vectra, then it depends on what terminal emulator you are
using. Reflection 3 emulates the 2627A. AdvanceLink
emulates the HP 2392A or 2393A, depending on vintage.

Once you have found a terminfo entry that works, you can use untic(1m)
to get a human-readable form resembling a termcap entry. However, I'm
afraid you'll have to do a manual translation from there (captoinfo(1m)
translates in the other direction).
