Yes, we have a c kermit here at the U of U which seems to be from Columbia University. It works on our HP 320 and 350 machines. If you have not got a copy of it somewhere around in your systems, I think (I'll have to look) that it can be redistributed with no charge. mjb. mjb@hoosier.utah.edu Let's make Driving While Stupid a capital offense!

Both kermit and xmodem, (via the umodem program), are shipped with HP-UX for the series 300. I know they are in the 5.3 and 5.5 releases, and they may have been in earlier releases. Mike Stroyan, hpfcla!stroyan

If you have HP-UX 5.2 or later, you should have both 'kermit' and 'umodem.' These programs are part of the standard HP-UX distribution and both should be located in /usr/bin. Keith Marchington Hewlett-Packard Corvallis, Oregon

Are there any >packages for the 9000/300 (especially public domain) which support either >Kermit or xmodem? > I'm not an official spokesman for HP, but isn't kermit an officially supported tool? (I did a "whence" on my system, which is a 9000/350, and found kermit in /usr/bin/kermit). If you don't have kermit on your system, mail me a note and I'll send you some sources I have...
