HP has a software package called NS for the DEC VAX computer, or some such wording, which runs on VMS and allows HP computers which have NS (1000, 9000 and 3000) to transfer files to and from the VAX. It works with LANs, though I don't know enough to say which combination of (IEEE802.3/Ethernet) and (DEUNA/ other Ethernet controller) are required. Check with your local HP folk for more details. The A-series will need NS/1000 hp part number 91790A along with the LAN interface card 12076A. The product gives you the DSCOPY command to move files from one node to another node. Virtual Terminal will hopefully come out with a future release of these products. Call your local hp sales office for prices and ordering information. .................. john blommers ..................
