I have a recently acquired HP-110 laptop and can't get any of the several versions of Basic I have to run on it. What sorts of basic will run, and how does one get hold of them? Thanks a lot, Sam Wilson ...ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!mobo

You can order HP 45445D from HP through your dealer or Sales Rep. This is MicroSoft BASIC. Alternatively, you can order GWBASIC for your 110. The HP part number is HP 45450D. The MBASIC lists at $300 and the GWBASIC lists for $395. Bill Wilhelmi Hewlett-Packard Corvallis, Oregon

There is two versions of Basic that run on the 110. The version that was written for the HP150 works very well but does not support graphics. There is another version that was written for the portable that does support graphics, but you need the Technical Reference guide to under- stand how the bit-mapped display works. E-mail me if you want more info and I will in the mean time look around and see if either is still available. By the way if you know of anyone that wants another 110 for $600 or so let me know.
